When we were exploring in our entirely random fashion, you may recall that we came across a shop called Shepherds Falkiners.
They are a book binders and paper sellers who also do courses on everything from marbling to origami.
Their shop is delightfully old fashioned. As you can see by the fact that you can buy tempered quill feathers.
I loved the window display of giant, hand made windmills, made of some of their stunning paper.
Here are a few pictures of just a small selection of the papers you can buy there:
Beautiful aren’t they?

I am an avid reader of your blog and although I don’t usually comment I really feel I need to say what a wonderful person and mother you are. The experiences your children are having with all your cultural and fun trips to London, theatre and around the country will live with them forever. They will never forget the great places they have seen and who introduced them to the great world we live in.
Thank you Mandy. It’s lovely of you to say so.
Wowee! Those papers are gorgeous.
it almost seems a shame to use the wrapping paper for gifts. You could almost frame them!
Ruth
I’d love to decorate a room in them.
