Shout out for the Glenfield Posse

Two shout outs this week.

Firstly to the ever wonderful and highly eccentric Jaywalker over at Belgian Waffle

Over at the Waffledome it is time for the yearly Belgian Waffle Village Fete.

Entries are many and varied and open to all.  Please go along and contribute something wonderful to the proceedings.  It will be greatly appreciated.

Earlier in the week I submitted my first book; ‘The Adventures of Derek: The Most Boring Bird in the World.’  He has been serialised in three parts on the blog and you can visit him for a read should you so desire. I have linked to part one. I trust you will be able to work out how to find parts two and three should the need arise.  He has been entered into the Miscellaneous category.  I am thinking I might try something in cakes next, but we shall see.

I have had lots of lovely feed back from lovers of Derek.  Rest assured, the second volume is in the pipe line.  Progress is impeded by summer holidays but hopefully in the next few weeks there will be more Derek.

Second shout out goes to Home Office Mum who is still trying to raise funds to not have to sell her children while she sails to Brazil in a very few weeks time.  She is having an online auction at her splendid site, More to Life than Laundry.  Wander over there now and make a bid.  If it helps, think of her poor, half orphaned children starving to death in a shed, or up a chimney, and dig deep.
